Sarah Griffiths

Sarah qualified as a Physiotherapist from The University of Southampton, UK in 2006. Since then she has worked with in both the hospital healthcare system and in private practice. She has worked at the Mater Hospital for 10 years, including caring for Maternity patients; pre-natally, during their hospital stay and after delivery.  

Sarah has experience treating patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She enjoys guiding mum’s through their pregnancy journey and recognises the benefits of an individual recovery and strengthening program after the birth. This is a time of great challenge and change for the female body and keeping strong core and pelvic floor muscles is important. She enjoys the challenge of working with patients towards their individual fitness and functional goals.

Sarah is a qualified Pilates Instructor and uses this as an integrated part of her strengthening treatment programs for patients. She is passionate about the management of postural problems, retraining movement dysfunctions and the benefits of injury prevention.

She is a mum to two busy boys who enjoys travel, bush walking, swimming, and exploring nature.

APRHA Registered Physiotherapist, APPI Certified Pilates L1-3.

 

Who we are

Mater Clinic Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic is a multidisciplinary practice including Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Massage Therapists, and Dieticians. We work closely with other healthcare practitioners in the community such as General Practitioners, Sports Physicians, and Orthopaedic Consultants.
