Andrew G.Bull

Sports Podiatrist

Andrew Bull

Andrew G.Bull has been a sports podiatrist for over twenty years and is the principal podiatrist at Sydney Sports Podiatry.

A good sports podiatrist works closely alongside good sports physiotherapists, such as the Mater Clinic Physiotherapy team.

Andrew has previously consulted to the Wallabies, Australian men’s and women’s Sevens rugby Teams, the ARU High Performance Unit and the Sydney Swans.

He has a long history of sporting involvement, including track athletics, road running, football, rugby, triathlon and is well practised in walking and hiking, as an Army Reserve Infantry Officer (now inactive).

Andrew has represented Australia five times in Thundercat Racing, and survived! He has also coached kids rugby and soccer in the local community for many years.

As an active member of Sydney Striders running club, he is able to use personal experience in his approach to treating foot and leg problems.

As well as athletes, he treats many active children, and all other foot and leg conditions that will respond to non-invasive treatment, referring onwards if necessary.

Sports podiatry is frequently helpful in overcoming toe, foot, arch, ankle, shin, knee, and Achilles problems.  Runners knee, “shin splints”, plantar fasciitis, Severs Disease and Osgood Schlatters are common conditions that we frequently treat.

If a leg length difference exists, sports podiatry can frequently fix or address hip and back problems too.

Using digital gait analysis program Dartfish, as well as 3D foot scanning from Orthotech to make precision orthotics from what we believe is the best lab in Australia ( they made all the orthotics for the Wallabies and Seven’s players)  , he provides a detailed biomechanical examination to help diagnose and then treat your condition in conjunction with your physiotherapist.

Andrew also lectures frequently for the podiatry association and sports podiatry interest groups. He has a particular interest in hypermobility and leg length discrepancies, which are frequently missed by many practitioners.
